The mission of Dance Avondale is to transform lives and strengthen community through dance. We deliver exceptional, accessible training and performance experiences that remove barriers to participation and reflect the diversity of our neighborhood. Rooted in access, equity, and excellence, Dance Avondale cultivates the next generation of artists, fosters cross-cultural connection, and ensures that the joy and discipline of dance are available to everyone.
Purpose
Dance Avondale exists to remove barriers to the arts. We recognize that dance education and live performance opportunities are often reserved for those with financial privilege, leaving many excluded from these transformative experiences. Through intentionally affordable tuition, inclusive programming, and community-centered performances, we bridge the gap—bringing world-class dance instruction and vibrant performance opportunities to a diverse and dynamic community.
Location
Dance Avondale rents its studios from Movement on Montrose, 2951 W. Montrose Ave. Chicago, IL 60618. Movement on Montrose has a 10-parking spot lot and is best reached by the CTA brown line: Francisco Stop and 78 Montrose Bus: Sacramento Stop

Dance Avondale offers youth and adult dance programming at Movement on Montrose, located at 2951 W. Montrose Ave. To view a schedule for the upcoming semesters choose "schedule" in the menu bar.
