The mission of Dance Avondale is to provide the highest quality of dance education and dance performance opportunities for its community through access, equity, and excellence in instruction.

Purpose
Dance Avondale aims to provide the highest quality of dance education and dance performances to the Avondale neighborhood and surrounding communities. Dance Avondale recognizes that dance education, access to performances, and opportunities to participate in live dance performance is generally accessible for financially comfortable demographics. Through its commitment to economic accessibility, Dance Avondale actively works to bridge the gap of accessible arts training and performances.
In response to the Covid-19 Global Pandemic
Dance Avondale, Arts Partner with The Chicago Park District will resume in-person programming beginning fall, 2021 that will be operated in accordance with applicable guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), and Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH).
In accordance with the Chicago Park District and the City of Chicago, beginning 02/28/2022 all students under the age of 5 and instructors of early-childhood classes are strongly recommended to wear a face covering while inside the building and studio. All classes for students 5 and older are mask optional.
Social distancing measures will be enforced to the best of staff ability inside the classroom.
Dance Avondale asks that any student with symptoms of Covid-19 or any student in close contact to someone with Covid-19 refrain from participation in classes at Dance Avondale until a negative test has been received and other assurances of health have been made.
CLASSES
Dance Avondale offers youth and professional dance programming at its primary location, 3516 W. School St, second floor and its second location, Revere Park, 2509 W. Irving Park. To view a schedule of the summer and fall 2022 semesters click "learn more" below.
