Dance Avondale is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible environment for all students, audience members, and studio visitors. We strive to ensure that people of all abilities can meaningfully participate in classes and attend performances and events.

Facility Accessibility
Our studios are located within Movement on Montrose and are wheelchair accessible. Dance Avondale makes every effort to ensure that our programs and events are welcoming to individuals with a wide range of physical, sensory, and cognitive abilities. Accessible seating is available for performances, and support persons or personal care assistants are welcome to attend all programs as needed.

How to Request an Accommodation
Individuals who require accommodations to participate in classes and performances or guardians of minors or individuals who require accommodations, are encouraged to contact Ms. Alia to ensure that they can make appropriate arrangements.

Please submit accommodation requests by email to danceavondalechicago@gmail.com or through the Contact Page on our website.

To help us best support your needs, please include:

  • Your name and contact information

  • The name of your child or guardian

  • The class, program, or event you plan to attend

  • A description of the accommodation requested

Timeline for Requests
Please submit accommodation requests at least 7 business days before the class, event, or program. This allows Ms. Alia and the Dance Avondale team time to coordinate resources and ensure a mindful and positive experience. Requests received with shorter notice will also be considered, and we will make every reasonable effort to provide the requested accommodation.

Dance Avondale welcomes communication about accessibility needs and is happy to work collaboratively with participants to support access to our programs, at any time throughout participation. If accessibility needs change, please reach out to Ms. Alia with no hesitation. You and your family are welcome here.
